  • Actually, a Mustang dyno would measure even lower. What really matters is the actual before/after gain itself. Different dynos will read differently, as there are MULTIPLE standards and correction factors that the operator of the dyno can select in the dyno software. These are TRUE SAE HP numbers. On this dyno, your typical stock 2005-2009 GT will put down a MAXIMUM of 263 HP. The 2010 GT Puts down 274 HP and the 2011 with a manual transmission will have trouble breaking 370...

  • @JonathanRattayGT -On a basically stock vehicle, the gains are the same between both the "Street" and "Racer" kits, as both of them flow more than the unmodified engine can use (over 1,000 CFM). The air intake accounts for roughly 17 of the 28 to 30 HP gain that you receive between both the air intake and tuning for 93 octane fuel. You can see a dyno comparison of both the "Street" and "Racer" kits on a stock vehicle on the "Racer" page of the C&L website...

  • The dyno that this test was performed on does read lower than most dynojets. Different dynos have different measurements, and this is based upon the settings in the software, conditions and the correction factor the dyno applies to the measured rear wheel HP. The HIGHEST HP number that this dyno has EVER shown for a stock (manual) 2005 GT is 265, while other dynojets may show up to the high 270's. You can view other dyno charts on the same dyno of other configurations on the C&L website...

  • great gain. so I take it that this is a mustang dyno since tha baseline numbers are where they are? great numbers either way it goes.

  • tooootally different sound and tone at about 3500 rpms with the CAI

  • @leeb99 hey lee, do you know what the gain is off a stock manual 2005 mustang gt with the c&l racer intake? i just like to know

  • Im finding it kinda funny that a few comments on this video are doubting what LeeB99 says... for the record... LeeB99 is the owner of C&L Performance.. so I think he knows what hes talking about

  • can just the intake alone mess up the cfm or do you need a tune for it to work properly also i have a 2010 if that makes a diffrence?

  • thats a hell of a intake kit and tune
