  • Pros:

    Helps catch criminals.

    Helps identify bodies.

    Helps identify parents.

    Cons:

    Framing by planting DNA.

    The greater sensitivity is often pushed too far. It often means less accurate results are used in court. There should be a margin of error reported in each case to the jury.

    No one questions DNA tests.

    DNA databases may be used in the future to reduce our freedom. Especially of concern for political activists.
