@rickyzmkuo She played an innocent young woman ruined emotionally by the loveless men of 1930s Berlin, with music by Kurt Weill of Threepenny Opera. She arrives full of hope, suitcase in hand, and walks away at the end a broken human being. No one suffers as intensely, eloquently, and beautifully on stage like Yuan Yuan. She looks so fragile. But when you see her up close in person, she radiates an almost frightening strength.
