  • This man is one of the best songwriters that has ever been, and he is a guitar pickin' genius, and if you ever see him live in a small venue you'll know I'm telling the truth.

  • Discovered him last summer and listened to him almost continually for about 3 months ... he's a genius from my perspective ... I don't know anyone who can write like him ... Sam Baker comes to mind, but in a different way ... simply knocks me out ...

  • @jamcrane3 I saw him live looong ago in Rochester, NY... Late 80s or very early 90s. He was awesome.

  • Only just found him a few nights ago on last.fm. Ordered "Childish Things" right away, can't wait for it to arrive so I can promote the McMurtry philosophy in the UK. Wow!

  • his shows are fine, he's a genius and this song is tops and the guitar, nobody plays like him, he is truly unique
