This song was created before we got the new meds in 1997- that control the HIV/AIDS virus. Before that over 303,000 mostly young men died in the USA with AIDS related complications. Today mostly people only die due to drug or severe alcohol abuse, and not taking the meds, or not being able to obtain them without money or insurance. The new Obama Health Care Act will change that in 2014 if the law isn't repealed first by the Republicans. The lives of people with HIV and AIDS are truly at risk.
