I've heard this is very similar to a Super Reverb. Desperately want to do a shootout between the two because I fell in love with the Super a while ago and if it's really that good, I wouldn't mind waiting and paying the extra for the Dr. Z

Since this amp has a pre and post volume, you can get low-volume break up, correct?

Wow, that's the most accurate SRV tone I've ever heard by anyone other than SRV. I have a Maz jr which is awesome, but I wish it could sound like this. What pickups are in your Strat?

Well, that's a really nice overdrive tone for sure. I'm wondering though, as the amp is a 50 watter, were you blasting down the walls to get it to break up like that?

it was pretty loud! But it was still sweet and creamy on the treble notes, didn't cut your head off like a lot of 6L6 amps.

It's the Z 4x10 cab, just guitar plugged straight in!
