Jacques Lacombe is the new music director for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. STATE OF THE ARTS producer Eric Schultz followed the young, Montreal-born Lacombe through a week of rehearsals, concerts and an afternoon block party with local gospel choirs. Lacombe has moved to an apartment near the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and plans to be very much a part of a revitalized Newark scene.
