  • We used to send the newbies out to oil the tracks and grease the harrow teeth, after they learned how dumb that was, they would try to pull it on the next new guy.

Thanks for the laugh, but if you're serious, it's a tracklayer, not a sewing machine!

  • Unfortunately, all equipment operators have been laid off due to the economy.

  • is it a 46a??

  • Yes. That is a late 46A D8H. It has some parts that are the same as a D8K.

  • i still run an old 8k for a rock quarry outfit, they dont make blades anymore like they used to. those 6r 6t's blades are junk compared to 7g 8h 8k etc

  • need to put some w-D40 on that squeeky thing

  • @ToonandBBfan its not always about the durability...modern dozer are just more comfortable because of all the electronic ...the cables can break and so on...old dozers...thats just cog on cog.

  • Great machine

I wonder if modern D8's will last as long as this old beauty?

    I doubt it!

  • @EcotecUSA

B100 biodiesel is actually pretty good unless your in 0 degree tempetures but, who opperates that cold?

"Blue Sun" B20 and B100 are great, no forigen oil.

  • we have tons of these in manitoba!!

  • Good operator! Nice and easy on equipment. Especially nice to see someone operate who doesn't shock-load the final drives when going from forward to reverse or roar around in 3rd gear trying to make it look like they are all about 'production'.

  • @diveplane ..... It's probably not a SALT rail set, they tend to squeak as the bushings rotate on the pins. No amount of 'oiling' will make any difference. Have a good day, sir.

  • get some fuckin oil for the track fuk sake.
