Lightbulb - Time for new ideas

"Lightbulb" comments on humanities excessive and increasing energy consumption. We need new ideas and new ways of thinking as well as new technology to overcome this global problem. Using the light bulb as a signifier of ideas, earth and technology - I wish to point out how inefficient technology and unsustainable thinking threatens to literally burn out our planet. Animation was chosen as media since it can effectively communicate a development over time. "Lightbulb" could be played as an information spot in popular media such as television, cinema or Youtube -- planting a seed of thought in people's minds.

save-the-planet time again. force millions to replace harmless lightbulbs with toxic glowsticks. can't force a handfull of powersupplier to deliver green energy, but treat us all like children. 97% of co2 is nature-made. electricity creates 33% of man-made co2. 19% of electricity is used for lighting. energylamps reduce consumption by 80%. thinking a 0.15% reduction of co2 will make any difference to the planet & is worth poisoning yourself & the environment with highly toxic mercury is insane!

@alexmaxjohn LED Lamps are good for bike lights, signs and traffic lights. Not for home use. Unless LEDs improve on their lighting appearence, your LED business wont last too long. Not only do the majority of ppl prefer incandescents but there are other solutions for energy saving light bulbs such as HALOGENs, which look exactly like your traditional bulb. So Good luck on that one buddy
