just to answer strawbs question...when the radio is configured for uk it is only 40 channel CB2781 not 80 channel mids/muppets. maybe albrecht should look at this ?

When this radio config to "U" does it cover CEPT & UK40 as this is our standard and if so how do you toggle between those? and will it do freq read out here too?
