Recipe: http://www.healthyveganrecipes.net/video/raw-beet-salad
This orange and raw beet salad recipe comes after lots of requests at my nutrition site for more raw recipes. Beets and other root vegetables are delicious raw, and make an important source of calories in your healthy vegan recipes if you're following a raw food diet.

  • this is awesome... i juse ate a raw beet for the first time. this stuff stains worse than koolaide.

  • if you're having trouble with inflammation, try adding the ginger root called turmeric. It is a revered herb in India (they annoit their third eye in marriages with it!) Sprinkle it on like salt-up to a teaspoonful- on practically anything, soups, alads, stews, eggs...The flavor is mild--also used to dye the fabric of the budhist monks. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory herb. It will reduce the toxicity in your body.

  • @Himmytinny awesome, hope it goes well for you :)

  • @healthyvegan Thank you very much ! I decided to go vegan even before I saw your comment, but it helps knowing it probably will be good for me in the end :D I got tenosynovitis by my job (I clean and the continues movement (washing and so) had me do movements not so good for my joints) but the doctor had me buy a special wristband for my wrists so now I use that when I work and it's really good now :) Thank you :) (sorry for the bad English, not my native language :) )

  • @Himmytinny Awesome, good reflection :) So in my EXTREMELY brief look at tenosynovitis, it seems to be caused by inflamed tissues. Meat & dairy aggravate inflammation, so you might actually find plant proteins a better choice for you. Also, the calcium in dairy can accumulate in joints causing inflammation, so again - plant calcium might be a better thing. Best sources of plant protein and calcium? Dark green veggies, seeds, quinoa - get lots of those, and see how you feel - have fun!! :)

  • @healthyvegan Hey there! Just wanted to thank you for your videos! I was a vegetarian once (a bet) looking back I realized that I felt pretty good being a vegetarian. I am thinking about going vegetarian again and one of my friends, who is vegan, suggested I go all the way and go vegan. So I have a question: I had a mild case of Tenosynovitis in my wrists a few months ago and they still hurt from time to time so wondered if it would get worse if I don't get protein and calcium from meat and so?

  • @veggiewarriors glad you liked it :)

  • This turned out perfect, thanks!

BTW, you look like Pam from "The Office".
