  • Damn, man. This looks incredibly great. REALLY FAST. I'm playing Empire right now and like it a lot, but battles don't run this fast. I have a quad but no graphics card upgrade. You must have a screaming card, or they have really made some big speed improvements in Napoleon. I want to get this.

What is the year range? 1800-1900? Empire is just the whole eighteenth cent...

  • @AdamEtheredge there are several campaigns but the imperial one is 1805 - 1900 i think where you can go a european faction during the napoleonic wars. The other campaigns are all Napoleons rise to power really, which begin in 1800.

They have fixed all the glitches from empire and it runs almost perfectly for me. The only thing missing is 4 player co-op campaign, in this they have a 2 player one.

  • awesome vid

  • @Uzrieal I had trouble uploading part 2 but it will be up at the weekend hopefully along with part 3, since i can only upload up to 10:58 mins.

  • @AdamEtheredge

actually the portion he wanted was new orleans so american traders could ship out there.

  • @AdamEtheredge they Optimized Napoleon like 30000 times better than Empire!! I have a Geforce 210 which isn't a gaming card and i can run it with unit details on ultra and texture details on high (no bloom or shadows ) in shader model 3 high and it runs with 25-30 fps!

  • @Blackhawk1913 Also, Napoleon is single-handedly responsible for DOUBLING the size of the United States overnight. President Thomas Jefferson was interested in acquiring a few small portions of the Louisiana Territory as a bulwark against possible French Imperial expansion in America. He sent envoys to Napoleon to ask if we could buy those little chunks for ten mill dollars. Napoleon, however, needed cash for his wars, so he sent back that he'd sell all of LaTerritory for 15. Doubled the US.

  • @Blackhawk1913 Oh, NEAT! That sounds great! The Napoleonic Wars were pretty fascinating history, as far as I can make out. He may have been the greatest general since Julius Caesar. He discovered the Rosetta Stone, causing a golden age in the understanding of western history. He even invented canning. He did a lot of amazing things. He is Bill Gates' hero.

The game sounds fantastic, and it looks much better than Empire, which I play several times a week. I'm getting it. Very excited. Thanks. :)

  • meh... why doesn't anyone upload any co-op stuff???
