Did Brenda Dickson retire from acting after she was fired from Y&R? Other than the Y&R E True Hollywood Story and that infamous Inside Edition segment, I can't think of any other show she's appeared on. It's unbelievable that she didn't go to another soap. If I recall, there was some bad blood between Brenda and TPTB at Y&R and she was ultimately "blackballed" throughout the entire industry.

@DanMan869 You said a mouth full Dan. Dickson was simply amazing as Jill and oddly I've never cared for the character since she left.... That backgound music this show used from inception up until around 1990 was unforgettable and unbeatable. I find it incredibly sad that even though the show has, I think, the same musical directors, they don't still use these gorgeous pieces today. I don't get that.

Jill only acts like this when her mother is around. Once Liz is gone, Jill becomes a snubby, hateful bitch, who makes enemies of other chracters and provokes agression in the community. She had used Jack for her own uses and blackmailed John into giving her money and a position in Jabot.

This scene is actually quite good--a perfect connection to the show's past (thanks to Julianna McCarthy as Liz Foster and the classic underscore/music) and the story that was to come with Phillip III's return to Genoa City. For all those people who think that Brenda Dickson's Jill was nothing but camp-drenched puffery, this shows that BD had it in her to play the quieter, more intimate scenes, too. She was definitely missed after she was fired by Y&R.
