I have a malinois and shephered, both ex military dogs. Shephereds have a stronger bite.  But a malinois hits its target a lot harder, both good dogs, but they both better when working with each other.

Belgian Malinois are breeded for police/army work similar to the german sheperd... Belgian Malinois however are more common for border patrol dogs because they can catch your sent from a much greater range, not to mention thier jawpower to take down someone in one bite, and they are very loyal piss them off and they have no problem ripping half your face off.
