Here is my tutorial on how "I" paint skin. I am sure there are other ways, this is just a simple effectifve way that I do it. I hope it helps someone out there in youtube land!

  • I have a question. I have a group of 36 Marauders of Chaos and do you think i could use vary the skin tone one the Marauders, I thought aboute using diffrent types of washes like "gryphonne sepia", "devlan mud" and "badab bllack", do you think it will work? Sorry for spelling and gramar:)

  • @skalmanpro Hello,

What I would try on a TEST FIGURE, is paint the figure as I have done, wash it with Ogryn flesh, but then wash it with Asurman blue to give it a death look... Let me know if that works for you!

  • why haven't you moved to droper bottles with a pallet?

  • @washaway Hey dude, droper and pallet.... I am too lazy at this point! :) Good luck on your DE, share your results!

  • hey,

    nice vid.

i honestley thought this vid helped me out more then the GW file they have on their website did. Hopefully ill get around to painting more skin tonight.

Question though, I dont know wat kind of guys you paint but do u have an suggestioins to painting small faces? specifically the Imperial Guard?

  • @majorpayne327 I use this exact technique on my space marine faces which essentially are the same size as the IG. Just use a smaller brush! Thats all, this technique works for IG perfectly.

    Cheers!

  • Great Vid, always good stuff man, love ya Catattafish.

  • Nice work mate, good straight forward technique that even a noob like me can have a crack at.

  • Id say it looks good. But nor sure that such a dark base is the best option. Something closer to the fleshtones would look more natural i think.

  • Music too loud. If you don't mind turning it down a bit I would appreciate it.

  • Awesoe vid Cat, this will help me bust out my Ogres in no time now!!! Thanks again

  • The music is 10x louder than your voice and distorted, it nearly deafened me at the end.

  • That is just... awesome!

  • great help! thx a lot
