How to Import and Export Flip HD [Tutorial]

HAVING TROUBLES WITH YOUR FLIP HD?
either Mino Or Ultra HD?
Here's my solution to converting MP4 (un-editable format) to MOV file!

Download :
http://www.mikeash.com/software/qtamateur/
(don't worry it's not a virus)

STEPS :
1. plug in your FLIP
2. Drag the video files into a BATCH CAPTURE in QTAmateur
3. Set the format and settings accordingly to the video.
4. export to a folder
5. Import the MOV files into finalcut or iMovie
6. Export accordingly to the Video
7. BALABING! upload to YouTube like normal (:

RESULT?
: HD VIDEO

(SIDENOTE)
-the video's like.. screencapture section is kinda,,, nogood quality. i exported wrong -_-
THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO REMEMBER TO EXPORT CORRECTLY!

so do i have to use this no matter what to even use the movies casue i am going to buy a flip ultra hd so do i have to use this or is this only for people haveing problems

if your going to use another software for example Final Cut Pro which doesn't allow mp4 editing, then you would need to use it!

But if you're planning to use the FLIPshare software that comes with the camera, then I don't think you would need to use it.

i'm trying to upload a video to Facebook with which i used a Flip Ultra HD to film and iMovie 09 to edit, and i did everything you told me to do in this video like with the importing and the exporting options, but i keep trying to upload it to facebook and it says its going to take like an hour and half to upload. most videos longer than this one have only taken tops 20 minutes. i'm not saying you're the expert of facebook but do you have any suggestions on why its taking so long ?

I have a Flip UltraHD, I import clips, export from FlipShare software as .mp4, open in FCE and then set render settings. It works.
