When You Wish Upon a Star on ukulele

I received this gorgeous handcrafted Moore Bettah ukulele all the way from Big Island, Hawaii two days ago. She is the most beautiful instrument I have ever played so I've named her, 'Mikaela' meaning Gift from God. Thank you to the amazing Chuck Moore for building such an exquisite instrument. You truly are the 'God' of luthiers.

'When You Wish Upon a Star' has to be one of my favourite instrumentals to play on the ukulele. It's also the one song I find that can be enjoyed across the lifespan - from the young to the old. The gentleman who performed the original version was Cliff Edwards, also known as 'Ukulele Ike', an incredible ukulele performer in the 1920s.

Wow Shaun! What a beautiful ukulele! You must be so happy with it. Such wonderful playing too - you really bring out the beautiful sound of the uke! I can't wait to see you play it up in Cairns.
