hardcore involves a lot more shouting and 2 step riffs than metalcore. Metalcore vocals are generally screaming, and the more complex instrumentation allows for guitar solos. there is a very clear difference. modern throwdown is basically groove metal. old throwdown is straight edge hardcore. all throwdown is fucking awesome
