  • Is it really necessary to play it as fast as you were going during the ending of the video in order to move on to the next lever?...what did you call it double? I don't think I will ever be able to play it as fast as you did

  • @doublejayjones No, you don't have to do the double speed to move on. As a matter of fact, you don't have to go beyond mastering level A practice videos, before going to the next week's lessons.

If you can do the first portion of this video in time, you're way ahead of most people. As for never getting it as fast as me, I wouldn't worry. Most of my favorite music to play doesn't require much technique at all, and you will also be surprised at what continual practice will do.

  • Thanks a ton, Rob. Your lessons are amazingly helpful.

  • @crunkykong Glad to be of help.

  • I like how you convey the subtle differences for each level your teaching everybody at. I began interest in fingerstyle guitar awhile ago. These videos are excellent and fun!

  • @pissballs Thanks PB. I hope they work for you.

  • How fast is the metronome?

  • A humbling lesson.

I thought I could do this with my eyes closed, not at double time, thumb and first finger suddenly become strangers and refused to acknowledge each other.

    LOL.

    Thank you, I will persevere.

  • my head keeps moving while watching this video...lol

  • Just practice down up with the flat pick. Down stroke for thumb, up stroke for finger.
