This is my first time changing the oil in my Ninja 250. And it seemed to go well. I rode the bike another 200 miles since the oil change and it runs like a champ. Oil still looks good. So my bike didnt blow up! woo hoo

NOTE: I dont change the OIL Filter, just changing out the oil.

DISCLAIMER : I am NOT a licensed mechanic of any kind. This is just illustrating how i changed the oil in my Ninja 250. I did not change the filter, since i dont know how.. but im going to learn that and ill post that video too.

  • wow good job! I cant beleive you broke that loose with one hand, I have to use two hands with a five foot breaker bar. Maybe I am tightening it too much.

  • Be sure not to strip the threads in the drain plug bolt or casing. As shown in the video, it did not take a lot of force to tighten the drain plug bolt. Borrow a torque wrench next time.

  • Danmm Good job Rob for putting all the videos up.

  • your welcome.

  • Awesome videos Rob. Way to look out for us noobs! I've been wondering this same thing and accidentally stumbled upon these. Keep it up.

  • Thank you , glad you liked them.

  • Wow, I can't believe you have a 5 part video series for changing the frigging oil on your motorcycle. And you didn't even do the whole job! You just drained the oil and filled it up with new fluid. No filter, no filter o-rings, nothing. Wow man. Just... wow.

  • I have an 04 does the year matter? Please let me know..Thanks!

  • Very Good Video. Nicely, intelligently presented. Easily understood. Many thanks, Doug.

  • Tighty righty wtf wheres this guy from mars lol

  • This is a terrible video. You must change the oil filter at the same time as the oil. Think about it, dirty filter and dirty oil. Drain and replace oil with a dirty filter and you make your new oil dirty straight away.

First rule of oil change which applies to anything with oil, car, bike, generator, whatever, oil and filter changed at the same time. You also need to do it warm because otherwise the oil won't drain.

  • You should have it on its center stand.

  • Great Video man! Thanks alot, btw how often should the oil and oil filter be changed?

  • it's righty tighty..not tighty righty
