Stewkey of Nazz today 2006. Most people know of Nazz from the late 60's featuring Stewkey on lead vocals & his band mate Todd Rundgren. It was the lead vocal of Stewkey with Nazz when the world first heard the song "Hello It's Me'. Check them out on tour with B.L.A.S.T. and visit Stewkey & Nazz online at:

  • Yes, I know exactly where Thom is. He's my husband and I just saw him go into the kitchen. lol. We live in WA State at the moment. Left L.A. about 6 mos ago. Couldn't handle the insanity. BUT, he is still playing. Still awesome. Still the nicest, most amazing person I, personally know. And, thank you for your kind mention of him. ...Heather

  • As big of a Toddhead as I am, I honestly think that Stewkey's vocals made the Nazz's sound so memorable. "Fungo Bat" released songs with Todd on lead vocals, such as "Only One Winner" and "Take the Hand", and while they have an etheral kind of sound, they're not even half as good as they would be with Stewkey on lead.

  • do play the odd Nazz cover on Youtube (Letters don't count, Gonna cry today)

good to see the legacy being looked after here on Youtube. Very nice video

    ah, forget all about it!

  • Thom's drumming was awesome on the 'Nazz' material. I'm happy to hear he still play's.

  • Philadelphia? I remember these guys hanging around in Upper Darby. Near Philly, but not quite. Cool video!

  • that's awesome what did your music teacher play my great uncle is Stewkey

  • It's too bad Todd is an asshole.

  • Cruel, but accurate !

  • thom is a great drummer, rock on

  • Hey, say hello for me! I loved Thom Mooney's drumming, too, and especially, as glimmer said, on "Under the Ice." Like Keith Moon's drumming, it's an absolutely brilliant example of playing "busy", yet extremely tastefully. I remember Todd saying he'd deliberately do the opposite of what Todd told him to do, which struck me as funny, considering how much greater his drumming made that record. Hmm...perhaps I've said too much...

Anyway, he was great with Paris, too. One of my favorite drummers.

  • Glad to know that, thanks!
