Riding a R1200GS up the Grimsel Pass after just finishing the Furka. Another amazing pass over the Alps which is an amazing decent. Good visibility on long swoopy bends. I want to go back and do them all again! Taken with GoPro Hero HD.

  • What kind of camera were you useing?

  • @samredras Hi. This was the GoPro Hero HD (not the new 2 version though)

  • Great video. The pass really is a masterpiece ov civil engineering. I drove over it sept 2011 and loved every minute of the journey. My wife was not too keen on the Lotchberg rail tunnel so I opted to go this way from Interlaken back to Brig. By the time we'd reached the summit I reckon she'd have walked through the tunnel rather than face the pass!!

  • @colgregg1 Yes, it's amazing you can ride this type of thing all day abd take i for granted. I'm just pleased these clever Engineers had the needs of us motorcyclists at heart!

  • i watched the whole thing... and im proud of it! BEAUTIFUL!

  • @JohnDoeNext An amazing pass and I was lucky with the weather. Did it again this year and no where near so good :-(

  • What an amazing view.

  • @JohnDoeNext Very luck indeed living in Switzerland. 3 weeks ago stayed in Davos (lovely), Interlaken (nice too) and St. Moritz (not sure about it ..) while doing the same trip again. Weather not so great and videos not quite so impressive. Will load some soon though.

I've never taken the GS off road but if you have a look around on youtube you can see it's very competent. I'd happily take it on a fireroad but not so sure in deep mud.

Good luck with a new GS. You'll love it. Ride safe!

  • @MrEunuch :) good that i live next to the Alps! How are the off road capabilities of the R1200GS? looking forward to getting one, and how is the maintainance? You should definately do some Offroad vids with your bike! would be awesome!

  • @JohnDoeNext Thanks! Great road if the weather is kind. Hard to beat it really and worth the 1000 mile slog from home for a week of playing around there. Awesome roads.
