TKG vs Topps Tiles 02/02/10

TKG aka Sticky Wicket C.C. take on Topps Tiles in a friendly but serious 8 a-side, 20/20, indoor cricket match in Canary Wharf. Conditions were well suited to allow class to tell. The somewhat unsurprising win was followed by a victory dinner at one of the nations most illustrious kebab houses.

I would like to thank the following people for making this such a special and memorable evening. Firstly, Mr Keen, who was of course man-of-the-match, for his unflinching efforts behind the stumps, in what could only be described as a challenging environment. The Afghan Exress, for a fine exhibition of pace bowling. Chucker, for ignited a lively debate surrouning his bowling action. The Taliban, for the £60 fine for speeding and 3 points on my licence! Grecian 2000, for taking time of work, eventhough cover couldn't be found and for dropping Malcolm right in it! Elvis, for making sure the earth moved for everyone in one of the biggest falls since 9/11. Mr Too Far, for not complaing. Hercule, for the number of keema naans he tucked away - top effort! Everyone's Brother, for umpiring and keeping score. And of course, all of the Topps Tiles team. Well done boys, a good effor all round.
