Lockheed T-33 jet trainer aircraft. Originally designed by Lockheed, the T-33 "T-Bird" in this video is in fact a Canadair CT-133 Silver Star Mk.3 that was license-built for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). The Canadair version of the T33 was fitted with a Rolls Royce Nene 10 turbojet engine.
Beautifully turned out in RCAF markings this T-33 is seen displaying in the south of England some years ago. Unfortunately this particular aircraft, G-TBRD, was destroyed in an accident taking off from Duxford on 6th September 2006. Thankfully the crew of two survived.
I remeber seeing T-33s when I was a kid, also F-86s, back b4 they made it against the law to break the sound barrier over land. There was one incident a few years later where a pilot was getting married at a church about a 1/4 mile away, one of his buddies went over in an F86 at tree top level, it was sub sonic, but it was LOUD.
