Taken during the last day of my 08/09 summer holidays, we see the Warringah greens truck on route again on a bright, hot and busy Wednesday. Snapped this up at the end of the day, just after arriving on their 3rd load for the remainder of a street they couldn't pack on. The driver and the runner on this truck were still pretty new to this at the time, especially the runner who was only working on his third day... so just thought I'd mention they were still getting the hang of things.

Hope you enjoy, please rate and comment.

  • what was wrng with the bin at the beggiing?? Was is tooheavey or what? Whats the reaseon of the bin falling in?

  • @soltysi It looks as if the clamp which holds the bins on the lifter failed and didn't lock the lip of the bin onto the teeth.

  • When they did the first 3 bins was that the first lot of bin loads to go in the truck?

  • @Binboy97 Yep that was the first bit to go in the truck.

  • why did veiolia pull out?

  • I'm not totally sure why actually, I'm sure there's a reason... methinks it's something to do with the council possibly wanting to keep the existing services (eg. manual greens instead of automating it).

  • poor trash can at 1:52 drop in hopper

    5/5*

  • LOL, hate to say it, but it's funny how much you can tell when a driver's a newbie :) Great video anyways, 5 stars...to you at least ;)

  • Yer love the packing cycles, especially of bundles tree prunings and other bulky materials. Garbage & Recycle is collected by that type of split ASL you would've seen in my videos - the truck is seen in the recent Christmas Collections Series.

  • This Truck = Compaction Systems

    A resemblance of the Phoenix.

  • Warringah is the council name, Veolia does the collecting of garbage, recycling, greens and clean-up.
