  • @chevypower406 Sorry to hear that you hate the Mopars, but if you look at the history of the 60's drag scene you will find that they were the big guns of the Super Stock class. They were winning so much that NHRA started adding weight to the cars to make the Chevrolet and Ford product competitive.

  • You got it brother: 1964 Thunderbolt, 1968 Cobra Jet Mustang- cleaned house both years in Stock/Super Stock racing. 1963 Galaxie with Dick Brannan wins Stock Championship in 63. Dyno Don Nicholson and the 427SOHC motor. Hubert Platt, Gas Rhonda, Al Joniac, Bill Lawton, Les Richter, Phil Bonner and the list goes on.

  • Ford ruled the super stock class

  • I'd bet some of those old Dodge "Granny lookin Cars" are stuffed full with a 426 wedge motor with 2 Four barrel carbs... Sure would like to race one of them a time or 2 : )
