When A Man Loves A Woman - multi-instrumental

Thank you to my brother Beat Escher for his amazing solo on the electric violin! It was a great pleasure to record together.

I always loved this song (and the lyrics) performed by Percy Sledge. Another great version is by Michael Bolton.

This arrangement here is my attempt to play an instrumental version with different solo parts.

I would like to dedicate this song to my first love almost 30 years ago. I was too shy to tell her, and life followed its own principles, ..... but in my heart she is still there!

Electric piano: this is a sampled Fender Rhodes Mark I by Native Instruments and Thomas Scarbee. I used additional amp effects by Amplitube.
Keytar: Roland AX7, the guitar sound however is by Yamaha Tyros3 keyboard
Organs: Vintage Organs by Native Instruments
Drums: Yamaha Maple Custom
Snare: a hammered Ludwig Black Beauty (14"x6.5")
Microphones: snare: Shure SM57; toms: Shure Beta 98 Amp/C; overhead: Shure SM 98; bassdrum: AKG D112
Bass: Fender Stu Hamm "Urge Bass" (the older model)
Audio interface: Focusrite Saffire Pro 40
Sequencer software: Sonar Producer Edition
Electric violin: this violin is custom made and was built according to the players ideas. The pick-up is by Zeta.
