@myantispambox Sorry to hurt your feelings but the unquestionable fact of the matter is that modern ammunition has made the 40S&W obsolete
ammo(.)ar15(.)com/project/Self
_Defense_Ammo_FAQ/index(.)htm testing has made this abundantly clear

The .40 is still a pretty popular round... I would love the .357 sig (which I can get a barrel for my Glock 23 and shoot .357) but due to it's lack of popularity I fear it will suffer the same fate as 41 action express.the .40 is here to stay

.40 IS an obsolete cartridge, yes...but the OTHER fact is, the LE community doesn't LIKE 9mmP (Miami stigma), and .357 SIG is a little pricey still for your average police budget. Plus, .40 and 9mm aren't bottlenecked - in terms of manufacture, it's harder to bottleneck pistol cartridges in high volume than just straight-walled brass. Plus, the .40 has been produced longer, thus better ammo selection at this time.

@bigboss686 send me the link about the .40 being obsolete if u dont mind. because that is one round i cannot stand.

@myantispambox Actually yes, the 40 Smith & Wesson is completely obsolete. Thanks to modern ammunition and bullet designs, don't take my word for it though, feel free to look at the link I left you on your profile.
In every measurable way 40 Smith & Wesson performs roughly the same as any 9 mm or 357sih cartridge provided you're using a modern bullet.
So says Dr. Gary Roberts, head of the premier ballistics lab in the United States.

@myantispambox Actually it is, modern ammunition has completely made the 40 Smith & Wesson an obsolete cartridge. here's a link so you can see for yourself ar15(.)com/project/Self_Defens
e_Ammo_FAQ/index(.)htm As you can see it's pretty much a statistical dead heat, so says Dr. Gary Roberts, the premier law enforcement ballistics tester in the country. if that link doesn't work, let me know and I'll PM it to you. Fact of the matter is though that if you're buying 40 you're wasting money -
@bigboss686 .40 obsolete? Hardly.

Wow , these loads are very good!

Beautiful expansion.
Thanks for the .357 SIG vids. Much appreciated. Its a great round.
Be Careful, I had an EFK .357 sig conversion barrel for my xd-40 subcompact and the bottom of the barrel broke off on the 45th shot through it. Luckily neither myself or my gun were damaged, just the barrel. I sent the barrel back and am still waiting on the refund. The guy said that this has been happening a lot lately. I was using that same ammo.

@ericandamanda338 O.o I did not know that they had problems with some of these. I have only put about 20 rounds through it so far. I have a number of .357 SIG rounds to test in the next batch. I will have to watch for signs of metal fatigue. So far so good - no problems with the barrel. This was my first purchase of an EFK product. My intention was not to specifically review the barrel, but more the ammo, but this will be something I will watch.

@andreleger2001 thanks much for doing these, looking forward to them a lot.
357sig is a terrific cartridge that for all intents and purposes makes the 40 Smith & Wesson obsolete, it just needs to gain a little more popularity and hopefully your videos will allow it to.

@bigboss686 I have a number of loads to test for the .357 SIG. I am trying to block off a test date soon for our big test with the barrel. This one was just a little lagniappe I did over the weekend.
