igloos actually have to be quite warm inside - otherwise there is no point in having one in calm conditions - often fires were lit in them because it would melt a thin layer of the inner snow which would then refreeze, lending structural stability. then a chimney hole was cut to allow warmth to escape so that it did not melt too much when used.

text at 7:53 seems to be wrong, the temperature in the igloo can be higher than 0°C according to wikipedia.
