Thank your my favorite Mel McDaniel song..and I am a large fan of his music and songwriting. In all the years I went to concerts, he only sang this song once for me in a little club in Little Rock, Arkansas called "Jimmy Doyle's Country'--I cried as he sang and he looked right at me and said, "Don't cry--please!"...I adored his voice and all his songs and I miss him greatly!

A great song done in Mel's own inimitable style. His presence in the Charts has been badly missed since his recent sad passing.

@Michinil Yeah it seems all of his I hear on the radio is "Louisiana Saturday Night" anymore, granted it's a good song but COME ON, radio! The man had quite a prolific career hehe
