Here Comes the Sun The Beatles George Harrison

This is me playing an acoustic guitar cover of Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles. The song was written by George Harrison and is on the album Abbey Road. Anyway, it's a beautiful tune, so I decided to try my hand at it.

Fritz makes a cameo during the beginning of the video! Enjoy! Proof that he is, in fact, still alive.

About the sound.. I edit sound using Garageband. In some sections I doubled the track to make it louder/fuller. I also added a tad bit of reverb.

I use the Blue SnowBall Mic. You can hear that it's pretty much awesome at picking up the acoustics. And it's like 5 feet away from me too. Sounds better right in front of the sound hole, but I didn't have anywhere to put it!

It may be a smudge out of sync, I'm not sure. Like in most of my videos, the sound is recorded by the mic into Garageband, while the camera records the video into iMovie. I use iMovie to put the two together. Sometimes it's a little out of sync.

And fiiiiinally...About the backing track. In the original song, the guitar is only panned to the left ear. So in order to create the track, I singled out only the right track and equalized it. If you want the track I'll send it to you. Just be nice and lemme know your e-mail. You can probably find it online too..

Very cool. Saw Steve Harley play this at Reading Festival in '83. The power went out and he played this for about 8 minutes acoustically with the the whole crowd singing along.
