Even when out of the room the motor quiets down after 2 to 3 hours. The airflow is pretty good but the noise is very annoying especially when trying to go to sleep. It's humming noise is even annoying on the low setting too. The thing is this model of the Windward II (White model) is discontinued. I have used various Hunter fans and most of the fans in my house are actually Hunter ceiling fans.

Even though this is a copy of the Casablanca Clairemont, is the Casablanca version better than the Hampton Bay Clair? I have used a few Casablanca fans before (Capistrano, Lanai, Panama, Four Seasons) and they are just much better than any of the Hampton Bay fans I have encountered. I have a Hampton Bay Windward II ceiling fan in my bedroom and the motor is just annoying, it makes a loud humming noise for some time and than the motor starts to quiet down after a few hours.
thats definately a copy of an encon georgian

Technicallyk, any fan of this style is a copy of antique fans from the early days, like the Emerson Fernleaf. That includes the Casablanca Victorian and Clairemont, this fan, Encon Georgian, Harbor Breeze New Orleans, and pretty much any Victorian themed fan.
