It's not that. What you are seeing here, which I'm sure you know, is imprinting. During a critical period after birth, geese will think the first moving object as their mother...and because this man, named Christian Moullec, was the first moving object the geese saw, he became their "mother." That's why the geese were following him. =)
Isn't that great? I'm going to try it someday!

He's not doing that for fun. He is saving the geeses, he teaches them to take a less dangerous way for their migration, to avoid their end.
