Sorry to only get back to you now, mikeanike1991! Sounds like YOU are the one who needs to get saved here, buddy! John the Baptist, Jesus, Peter, Paul, etc. never said anything about "as long as you (we) believe...we are all forgiven!" They said: REPENT and believe. The Devil "believes," but he certainly isn't repentant of his rebellion against God. You, my friend, must repent (i.e., abandon) your sins and trust in Christ alone to save you...or you simply aren't saved!

I just see sin as either a hit or miss situation. I guess the conversation shouldn't just be centered around homosexuality but around sin itself but it's ignorant of me to say that because, well, thats what the video is centered around. But good points and it was good to hear someone elses views about this. But in the end, as long as we believe, I think that we are all forgiven, no matter what we have done. Even it is being homosexual.

Don't forget what God did to Ananias and Saphira in Acts 5! I have some Christian friends who struggle with homosexual tendencies. It may hurt to hear "God hates you," but the key is to become "loved" by becoming a child of God through repentance and faith. God can and does forgive gays - if they repent and believe.  I Cor. 6:11 says "...and such were some of you..."

Ok, I was just making sure that you felt the same way as I about sin. I really do like your views, but Psalms was written before the New Testament, and the New Testament is God new covanent. God was a, how do I say this... God picked sides for fights, condemned people for sinning, and then Jesus came along. True, not everyone is a child of God, but I know many gay Christians, and for them to hear that God doesn't love them.. it hurts. I believe that God forgives murderers, so why not gay people?

mikeanike1991: First of all, who said "they are children of God?" Nobody is born a child of God; he becomes one - see John 1:12. Not everybody is loved and accepted by their maker either, according to Psalm 5:5, which says God hates all workers of iniquity, which includes sodomites! To be "forgiven," see my earlier post - it's not automatic. One needs to want to change and take the steps necessary. Is murder worse in God's sight? God hates SIN - all sin (Heb. 1:9)!

True. It CAN happen. But honestly, do you really think that being gay is the worst thing you can do? What about murder, what about worshiping other idols, or completely giving up on God. I just believe that God loves us all, and forgives, and it just bothers me for people to say that being gay is the worst thing ever. I have seen first hand what that does to people. It hurts. Especially when they are children of God and to hear that they're not accepted by their maker... wow.

I wouldn't say that we do stuff "worse than being gay," mikeanike1991...in God's sight. There are lots of things God hates besides sodomy, but he does hate it! Gays can go straight if they confess and repent of (i.e., abandon) this (and all other) sin, and place their trust in Jesus to save them from the punishment they rightly deserve. That's the first step. Then they'll be in a position for God to change their warped sexual inclinations into healthy sexual inclinations. It happens!

I have plenty of gay friends. Trust me, there is much worse stuff that we do everyday that is worse than being gay.
