  • i was thinking of making one of these what everyone think

  • Making a skidplate? We have the latest re-design in stock. Give us a call. 1.888.773.1212

  • We'll look at extending the sides to cover the fender liner a bit, more like OE. Sounds like a good idea to me. Can't wait to hear what our engineering dept. says...!

  • ok so it relies a lot on the subframe mount surface to distribute the stress, that makes sense. but please (if you can) take my suggestion on improving the front section! I've ripped out my fender liner THREE times because it can be so easily caught and pulled out if your front corner hits even a little bit. having metal over the plastic would definitely prevent this.

  • We did!

  • The strength is there one it is bolted in place. We have designed the plate to take very large impacts and still be able to be removed.

  • i need one for a 95 jetta

  • you need a ratchet buddy!

  • awesome!

  • also I would recommend that if you ever get a chance to change the design, you extend the front section to cover the "splash guard" all the way up to the front of the bumper cover... the splash guard area I'm talking about is the plastic thing that goes down in front of the wheels ... the same area where you would install the fog light assemblies... during rally, that's the section I always tend to tear out due to cutting and hitting ruts.
