@BlackFox0911 My parents aren't gay, nor my only two brothers. Just me. We were raised the same way, went to the same schools, ate the same food. And they both have girlfriends. So to say that there isn't a genetic code that made me this way is pure bullshit. I didn't "chose" to "subject" myself to women. Women are everywhere. Two members of the same gender cannot reproduce. Genetic material is transferred between parent and child, and any genes that code for homosexuality would never be transcribed from the parent genes. Homosexuality is as much of a disease as alcoholism. Not a mental illness in my opinion. Is being "straight" a mental illness to us the "homosexuals"? NO. Do we criticize their life style? NO. If the majority of us were gay, would being straight be odd and criticized? Probably. What a sad world huh. LIVE LIFE, BE YOU, EXPRESS YOURSELF!

There is no "gay gene." Theres been numerous results claiming that the homosexual gene does not exist. The only reason why homosexuality exists is because of our sin nature that sepreates us from God. We all must Repent and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ if we wished to be saved

homosexuality is genetic combined with hormonal environment in the womb. Just because we don't YET fully understand why nature continues to produce (for lack of a better word) gay people, doesn't mean that gays don't have a purpose. Reproduction is not the only reason humans exist...Many straight people are infertile. does that make them useless? Gays in ancient cultures were honored for their spiritual abilities. Perhaps that is their purpose? I don't know myself,but they exist for a reason.

@TheNaughtylist - Unfortunately, reproduction IS vital to the survival of a species. Homosexuality may not be a choice. There might BE something that attracts two women or two men together. But it's not genetics.

@BlackFox0911 There are things called mutations. Not considering Gay people as mutants or anything, it is genetic. It's nothing wrong, just different tastes. It's not even suicidal. The purpose of human beings is not to reproduce. We can all live as virgins and not reproduce a single child. We're not wild animals that do not eat from the tables. We're civilized humans, we don't need to reproduce to make a succession in the wild in which we call society.

Answer me a simple question. Genes exist for the purpose of passing genetic material from parent to child. Since two members of the same gender cannot reproduce, why would genes code for something genetically suicidal? That kinda works AGAINST the laws of both genetics and evolution in general

Ummm...why did you club homosexuality and it's possible genetics with mental unhealth and that possible genetics. Are you saying that people that are homosexual that they are mentally unwell?
Also - studies with identical twins is slightly unreliable in certain areas as there are small differences to do with identical twins. Genetically speaking, identical twins have different foot-prints and finger prints. Does that not show that with possible that there could be a genetic drift?

All identical twins have different foot and finger prints. It therefore can't be due to the few random genetic differences. It most likely has to something to do with the development of the fetus.
This video did not state or imply that homosexuality was a mental disorder.
But you bring up a good point, if it is genetic that people could consider it a genetic defect. If it's not genetic people can consider it a choice which is a human right.

If it's not genetic, how do you explain a child of 5 years old act femininely while he doesn't even know what sexuality is?

At what point does the child begin to learn and his personality begin to be shaped? Certainly immediately after birth a child begins to examine the environment and starts to learn to control his own body.
Some psychologists beleive that personality actually begins to develop while still inside the womb.
So the maybe the five year old begins to identify with his older sister and starts playing with her dolls.

The twins study could be improved to remove the nurture component by looking at twins who were adopted at a very early age by different folks.
Obviously difficult to find enough of these case to be statistically significant.

There have been some attempts to do that however, twice share an almost identical prenatal experience.
That means they are affected by things such as the mother hormones, the mothers drugs use, the mothers nutritional deficiencies, the mothers injuries, etc.
At what point does the mind begin to develop?
