"hatred of religion can lead people to such childish insecurity they start to suspect anyone who questions their opinion as religious"

Its not just atheist who make this mistake, and I still don't see why this should be a big issue. My religious family do this all the time.

Assumptions and name calling can be ridiculous, but shouldn't distract from a healthy discussion. Atheist argue with each other on different topics all the time. Its not misfiring and its not certainly jealousy either.

Of course you are entitled to disagree with me, but I'm not just pulling it out of my ass. It takes on average 11 years for the appeal process to run it's course. During that time the inmates are housed in special prison wings, plus the added court and lawyer time, and the infrastructure of the facilities of execution. Anyway it's easy to look up, don't take my word for it.

So, how many times have we heard in the news about a parent killing his or her children, and saying that God told them to do it? The law still sends them to prison. Is man's law greater than God's law? We could go on like this for ever. The facts are that people have been killing people on God's orders is long before our current set of God's. If there was or is a God, then your arguments might be slightly valid, but as you and I both know there really isn't any Gods. Just men's myths.

I know that, I pointed out how the hatred of religion can lead people to such childish insecurity they start to suspect anyone who questions their opinion as religious. It's because hatred and ignorance drives the atheism here, not simply lack of belief. It is from jealousy that you can't find faith in something others do. So you turn that jealousy into aggression, which shows in your comments, and it might aswell be misfired against a fellow atheist.

No it's an observation of what's going on in these kinds of video forums, the general mentality.

Atheists are hardly what you could call a tribe. We are individuals who simply don't believe in the existence gods. Their is no special code, authority or book which limits our thought processes and ideas.

Everytime one of these insecure atheists are confronted with anything they say, the blame game is the first defence mechanism. It's not surprising it ends up with them attacking one of their own tribe members like a pack of scared wolfes.

I'm not a christian, I didn't write anything that even implied I was. I'm an atheist. I strongly disagree with you when it comes to the death penalty, how could executing someone cost more then keeping them alive for the rest of their life? I also never mentioned reduced crime as a result.
