From the 2007 Skåne Grand Final, between Malmö Red Eyes (playing in the blue and black Port Malmö jumpers) and GV Rebels. Mad Matt McMahon pays the price for calling an Irish man, Mark Rattigan, a Scotsman and pays the price by a great tackle of the GV star

  • Interesting piece of trivia: When Scotland was known as Caledonia and mainly populated by the Pict people there was a massive influx of people from Hibernia(now called Ireland). The new peoples were known as 'Scots' and became so widespread and influential that the country eventually became named Scotland.

  • At what point in the video does he call the Irishman a Scot?

  • @emmetor Not sure exactly what you are speaking of, Georgia and the US didn't exist in the 16th century. The KKK was formed in the Southern US in the 1860s to try to disenfranchise emancipted blacks. The term Yankee was used to describe people from The New England region of the US. During our Civil War it was used to describe all Northerners. It has nothing at all to do with Scotland or Ireland in the 1500s

  • @emmetor This is why Irishmen find the subject so painful - to have the same blood turned against you, for nothing but a big story.

  • @SuperGetitgotitgood Where do you think the Georgia versus Yankee comes from? It derives from the Religious wars of the 16th century, and the successful turning of Scotland against itself and Ireland. That's also why the KKK was started - to hunt down Irishmen.

  • @CFCShame Hahahaha... wow... a puritan Chatbot. What spurious illogical rubbish.

Anyway, what is a Romanist? Is that your taleban word for a catholic? The name Hiberni is a latin word that comes direct from ancient Gaelic, nothing to do with your silly theory.

I think you definitely are the David Icke of Scottish Anti-nationism, CFCShame.

The reformation is now irrelevant - we have a thing called Science nowadays, and it's based on FACTS.

  • @emmetor It certainly would not please a Scot, calling a Scot an Irishman is akin to telling them they are only half as superior as they are.

Irish is a 16th century Papist name that did not exist prior to the 16th century when Pope Leo X imposed it on the Hiberni (Original Irish). Nothing 'Irish' in name existed before this. Pope Leo X imposed that name on the Hibernians (Irish) now the Romanists are trying to impose it on the Scots to undermine Scottish nationalism to undo the reformation.

  • @Laoch86 No, you'll find it's the right way, Romanists have it arseways.

  • @CFCShame My god you have that arseways son.
