AMD-Tech-Demo HK2207 Mecha Rampage

Die Mecha-Rampage-Demo trägt den Namen HK-2207 und ist eine Real-Time-Demo, welche besonders Effekte wie Depth-Of-Field, Lens-Flare, Ghosting, Aerial-Perspective and Atmospheric, LUT, Tesselation und Reflexionen herausstellen soll. Zum Einsatz kommt natürlich die DirectX-11-Schnittstelle mit DirectX-11-DirectCompute und Bullet Physics.

Wow, I thought Nvidia's Endless City was embarassing, but this takes the cake. It's awful. At least Endless City impressed when they turned on the wireframe (the shaded version is lit so badly that it doesn't show how insane the detail is).

But if you pause the Mecha Rampage at 1:21 you can see that the buildings are using very few polygons. Sorry AMD, but cartoony explosions and a handful of rigid bodies don't exactly blow me away.
