Took this on May 25, 2011, using my Kodak Zi8 camcorder. I was at the pool of the apartment complex behind Centerpoint Medical Center at Jackson & 39th St. in Independence, Missouri. The rotating storm cell that you see in this admittedly somewhat lengthy video is the same cell that went over Kaufman Stadium where funnel clouds were spotted. This is after those reports.

  • I’m from Rural eastern Jackson county and a storm spotter. why the hell did I have to be asleep that day? lol this would have been cool to film. Cool video btw.

  • @MissWWE20 Yeah, it was a pretty awesome and intense storm. I mean, we were not far from the stadiums where funnels had been seen, so having that cell go right over us was a tense moment.

  • @rjoyhelvie I did happen to get some nice looking clouds on tape . I have the video posted on my channel .

  • @MissWWE20 Cool! I'll be sure to check it out.

  • Got woken up to this by my grandma. I was like "this better be worth it because I was having a good dream". It was exciting to hear the sirens, but nothing really happened.
