Pier + Beam Foundation with a Conditioned Crawlspace

In this video you'll see the steps we've taken to ensure we've built a solid foundation on top of some very bad soils. If the craw space is conditioned why didn't you use rigid foam below the concrete slab floor? Also I would love to see it after it is finished.

It's interesting watching these US build videos because the methods are usually different to the ones in the UK; e.g. timber frames versus clay brick
