  • the way back, which is now in cinemas, meant to tell the same story but its not? how come they allowed that? in the way back they going to mongolia, then tibeth and finally reach india. while actually Jan went to alaska and then canada.

  • @bednim The Way Back did not tell this story. That film was based upon The Long Walk, written in the 1950s, and has had a very chequered past. Hence Peter Weir distancing himself from it.

  • @impossibleescape thank you for your answer. its 100% true. i did some research about the way back and it looks like another movie, maybe inspired by a true story.

is impossible escape out on dvd or in cinemas?

  • @bednim I think you need to check out the internet. The Way Back is a fictionalised account based upon a book which validity has always been questioned, and since found to be untrue. In fact it was another man's story. If you have US$30m I'll make the film just for you.

  • Just to let you know I've commented several times. Hope you get the picture made. Sorry to you-tube if they thought I was not politicitally correct in my comments

  • My grandad suffered the siberian gulag. RIP all who died. x

  • Very important film. I applaud you for doing this work. These stories are true. My grandfather, Michal Jasinski, escaped from one of these camps and walked for months across Manchuria, Mongolia, eventually joining the British 8th Army in Persia. I have his official documents detailing the adventure. He died in Canada in 2003 but it is important for this memory to live on -- as there are those that have ben saying that these events did not happen because they are too fantastic.

  • @colinchick69 It will probably knock it for 6 unfortunately. A pity since that story has dubious origins.

  • @GosuGamer2 It won't be. It's for industry viewing only. However, behind the scenes "making of" clips are online at You Tube - FridgeProductionsLtd

  • @piekarnew1 This is just a pitching trailer for a documentary-drama idea. Now being developed as a full drama. See the behind the scenes "making off" clips at You Tube - FridgeProductionsLtd

  • @KottLoom 'The Way Back' may knock this for 6 unfortunately. The cost is immense. Have you got $25m going spare?
