Recently my fork got bent and I am looking to get a new fork. I've been told that I shouldn't buy just any fork that is 1 1/8" threadless 700c bc of fork rake, steerer tube length, etc. Is this true?

@yp7004 this matters:
Don't worry toooooo much.
If it's a track fork, buy another track specific fork, if it's road, buy road, etc, etc. The rake will be similar enaugh that you probably won't notice.
Most steer tubes will be long enough, if you purchase it new, unless you have a freakishly tall head tube.
Be wary of used forks, the steer tube will have been cut to fit, and may not work with your bike.

if i get tires with a flip flop hub already installed, does it matter what kind of cog i get if i want to ride it on the single speed side, not the fixed side?
Pawl2 1 year ago
@Pawl2 Do you mean wheels with a flip flop hub?
You'll be looking for a freewheel with the same teeth and width as your cog, just to make things easier when switching it around, otherwise you might have to break the chain and resize it.
