buy an effect loop, buy a compressor/sustain pedal, put higher output pickups in your guitar (emg's are a great example), keep your middle above your treble on your equalizer (or middle above high..) use your neck pickup. use high quality strings and use a heavier gauge of string. perfect your vibrato technique to hold the sustain out as long a posible. the list is endless.

USA..USA! thats one sweet guitar..it only gets better w/aging.. I have a 1995 and 1997 USA strats..sweet..that seymour duncan humbucker sounds good

yea i was playing with the audio play back thing.
so is your Sustain Problem OK now?
it sounded to me like the magnets were pulling out the
harmonics at low and high gain thus choking out the vibrations.

Have you trying adjusting your bridge upwards so that when your strings are tuned the bridge is floating 1.1mm from the body of your guitar?

@MysticalMuffinDude thanks for posting some help. I actually figured out that it was the amount of gain i was using and my ears acting funny. everything is good now.

Your pickups are WAAAAAAAAAY too close to the strings.

they are actually farther away from the strings than on a typical strat (i've compared. but yea, i found out that the problem wasn't the guitar, it was the amount of gain i was using. thanks for the help tho.
btw, lol for your other two posts. i was able to read them through my account
