The horse's mouth is open due to saliva which is natural. The horse's neck appears to be curved as this is a state of physical athleticism that horses naturally develop, called 'collection.' Collection is achieved when the rider is able to maintain a steady contact on the reins, impulsion and forwardness in the horse's movement & a strong seat. If done correctly, it doesn't hurt the horse. This is advanced training that takes years of practice - Don't attempt without proper instruction :)
I don't know much about dressage but I am interested. Is this normal that his mouth is always open with a lot of foam? Just wondering because I haven't seen this on videos except on dressage videos. Also, the neck is so curved. Why is this? Does it hurt the horse. Does anyone know how you teach the horse to do this. Reminds me of a toy horse! The rider must be so proud of her horse. What a great animal. The horse must be proud of himself too, don't you all think??
I must say, thank you verry verry much for putting this up, both anky, steffen and isabells ride.. I have searched for this every day and today I found it! its great to be able to watch the rides!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
How on earth could they only score 74%! there was one misatke in that last trot extension otherwise he looked so seattled nowadays. I see its not the same as totilas but here was almost an error free test with MANY highlights and only 74? I dont get the judgers anymore
The reason why she never gets as high scores is that she rides the horse with rollkur :D
