Optimism at the expense of Truth is worth considering
The scenario offered up is a bit silly for a couple of reasons, but the point is understood. Here's the thing, context is everything. There are times with Truth trumps all. There are times when you can make a principled ass of yourself. There are times when it may not be necessary to be so pompous as to assume one possesses absolute Truth within one's tiny skull. In the end, the question to the answer involves recognizing one's motives
