Big snake in Thailand Snake Show business. Yellow mangrove snake - very beautiful snake. Strikes a lot when aggravated. There are many snakes in this video including this awesome colored mangrove snake (some call it a cat snake) and some king cobras and other amazingly fast striking snakes.

Boiga dendrophila melanota. Not deadly. Rear fanged. Some venom, slightly toxic to humans. Not to be confused with the Mangrove Pit Viper - whose venom is much stronger.

  • they are in a rear fanged class like hognoses and the false water cobra arent they? beautiful snakes

  • @nsane992002 Boiga dendrophila melanota. Yeah, the black/yellow are NOT deadly, despite what the guy says. They have some venom but it's not that toxic to humans. The guys regularly get bitten at the snake farm - one guy, Jackie, was bitten by 6 different ones on a recent boat trip to collect them in the mangrove trees - and he got a slight headache... and was fine.

  • these guys can end up in an episode of 1000 ways to die who the hell mess with a venom snake like that

  • @btran313 It has venom - but it isn't that toxic to humans. In fact, the guy that collected 6 of them from a boat cruising through the mangroves recently - was bitten by every one of them. He got a slight headache and felt hot - but, that was it. They're probably not going to kill you unless allergic.

  • these snakes dont have poison... they have VENOM!!! two very different things

  • @hoblywobly Just about every video I do there are 1-2 people that get all bent out of shape about using poisonous versus venomous. Venomous means it can envenomate you - in your blood stream it causes damage. Poisonous means you ingest it and it causes damage. I often use "poisonous" in my descriptions because the keyword is searched on MUCH more than venomous is. I even sometimes catch myself saying poisonous in videos. Don't get all Charlie Manson over it - relax and smoke something.

  • I owned one of these snakes for over 6 years until about a year ago..

They are just vicious reptiles, and i couldn't put up with a venomous snake that i couldn't hold all of the time..

Now i own a reticulated python and a californian king snake.

Mongrove snakes really should not be kept as pets, i made a huge mistake when i brought one.

  • @bink182rock They're beautiful to look at but they're quick and vicious. Good thing you're still alive.

  • ur vids r really good

  • they arent even that bad

there temperment is but the venom is weak. more likely to kill a bird or something

defientely not a human from experience the bites are brutal though so many gnarly little snakes. hard to keep in captivity if wild caught but very beautiful snakes
