Prophets have been called by God to speak for Him and to be His messenger. God speaks to these men who are commanded to reveal to mankind His plan of salvation, His will, His character, and His truth. A prophet testifies of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, that He died for our sins, they preach of repentance, condemnation, judgment, sin, and eternal torment. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that T.D. Jakes as a false prophet does not.

A Muslim asked T.D. Jakes if only Christians could hope to enter Heaven? Jakes response, When it comes to Heaven, I try to leave that up to God. I certainly believe that Christianity is right, but when it comes down to the final test, who goes and who doesn't go, Jesus said, Other sheep have I who are not of this fold. Them also must I bring.
