Croatian history - Croatia 1846

Today if we look at the 2001 census of Croatia from 2001 there are 201.631 thousand Serbs living in Croatia.

So why is that important? There used to be a lot more.

They say that the conflict between Serbs & Croats is centuries old & dates back to the middle ages, but that just is not true. The Serbs & Croats were even allies against Hungarian domination.

It only since the late 17th & early 18th centuries when the first major disagreements occurred & the former allies (with help of some foreign intervention) became enemies.

On of the major disagreements was the ever changing demographics in the territory that comprises todays Croatia.

This movie is about those changes.

samo ime Srbin - latinski - serv (sluga) sve kaže. O tome govori polovinom X stolječa Konstantin Porfirogenet, a i u svim historijskim izvorima, na latinskom riječ "srbi" se redovito prevodila kao "sluge" a Srbija kao "sluganija" tj. Servija (zemlja sluga): Kao sluge dovedeni su na Balkan (od strane cara Heraklija), kao sluge su se oformili kao narod, plagirajuči koga god su stigli, a kada se objektivno sagleda njihov razvoj kao naroda, i ničeg drugog nemaju osim tog naziva "sluge"

@MadMladen Sta hrvat moze da ismisli, to nemoze niko drugi. Otkad su pojedini hrvatski povijesnicari slucajno nasli slicnost u recu serv i srbin nikad mi srbi da cujemo kraj gluposti.

Ceski istoricar Pavel Safarik vezuje srpsko ime za reci Sjarbin, Serb, Serbin, Sibrin, sto su sve oblici znacenja roda, naroda, a sto ima isto znacenje sa latinskom reci "gens" i "natio" ili indijskom reci Serim, sto znaci narod iste krvi, a Nemac Ekerman tvrdi da ime Srbin oznacava narod, a Henrih Leo da to ime dolazi od sanskritskog imana Sarb ili Srp, sto oznacava narod koji se cesto seli.

@MadMladen da nastavim Istaknuti Slavista, Francuz Siprijan Rober iznosi da ime Srbin obelezava celu jednu rasu naroda i da su to Iliri, najstariji Sloveni. Jakov Grim je u predgovoru "Maloj gramatici Vuka Karadzica" napisao .. "da nema slavnijeg imena koje bi se moglo upotrebiti za sve Jugo-Slovene i da ni jedno drugo pleme nema takvu istoriju koja bi se mogla uporediti sa srpskom".

And those lands are ours lost during that war, you guys love to invent a version of history that suits you. Remember, Serbia didnt come to existsence untill 1346, the largest ever serbia, (without bosnia or krajina) and before that was known by other names but not Serbia. Get your history right.

SRBI su zajedno sa SLOVENIMA, potomci kraljeva Solomuna + Davida, za kojega mi SLOVENI kazemo Da to je za DA-VIDA.

Mi smo izasli iz Israela (tako i prorocanstva govore) kada su se drugi stranci navaljali u Jerusalimu i postali jaci i silniji od nas. Znaci iako smo upotrebljeni kao Sluge, to je bilo da se spremimo da budemo opet CAREVI + Kraljevi i centralni Bozji narod ~ nas Nikola TESLA je mozak od sve ove danasnje moderne tehnologije. CITAVA zemlja ZIVI od naseg Mozga.

@KorculaDalmacija Yes very simple for your Croatian conscience but the serbs settled in those regions mentioned on this map during the 5th century ad. ( afull 2-3 centuries before the croats) Yes some serbs were driven from their homes in other serb regions by the turks but most of them were not citizens of the empire en were not counted in this map.
