  • The text that flashes on the screen at 0:59 is an error, sorry, it is Genesis 6:5, I was going to have text of all the Bible verses on the screen, but then decided not to and something went wrong,

  • You're response couldn't be more wrong. Reading scripture in context would be a great start, but then you have to consider translational issues. Getting online and looking some of this stuff up should help. Or better yet, continue watching NCG studios, they seem to be right on the money! God Bless

  • It's easy to take something out of context and scripture whip someone. Let's be intellectually honest and go from "A to Z." Just a thought....

  • @CartesianTheist way more screwed up than before. Man has attached man characteristics to God and has inserted things into the text to fit their agenda. So we are walking away from an institution that has told people they are unworthy of their heavenly Father's love, and kept them in a mindset of fear and failure. We are telling the world ... God is Love! He loves unconditionally not based on your beliefs or actions, but upon his goodness and the fact we are ALL his children who he dearly loves!

  • @CartesianTheist How has all the religious denominations we have today not done the exact thing you accuse Joey of doing? What Joey, and all of us form NCG are doing is questioning religion, and the church ... not Jesus. We are questioning why the God of the OT is so different from the God (Jesus) in the NT. We are trying to understand and seek truth. We are seeing that Jesus came to do away with man's religion and set up His kingdom, yet we have mixed the old with the new and wound up ...

  • @CartesianTheist He broke the Mosaic law which was greatly added to by man. Jesus if he was to keep the Mosiac law should have stoned the woman caught in adultery. He didn't because he clearly was showing this law is not from God. He commanded His disciples to gather grain and healed people on the Sabbath, again these laws are not from God but man. If you do a careful read, show me NO record of wrongs. 1 Cor. 13:4 God is Love! This is his character, his nature ... always!

  • @CartesianTheist What? First of all Jesus willing chose to die, and it was to show His love for all mankind, it was example of the kind of love He wanted us to have for each other. When he was beaten, did he lash out. Did he hurl insults, or threaten revenge? The Mosaic law said everyone who was hung on a cross was cursed of God, yet Jesus (God) allowed himself to die this way proving he wasn't cursed of God. Jesus did not need forgiveness because He didn't sin.

  • but, I say to you to turn the other cheek. You've heard it taught to love your neighbors and hate your enemies, but I tell you to love your enemies and pray for those who despitefully use you. He didn't stone the woman caught in adultery, but told her I do not condemn you. She never repented and begged for forgiveness, or believed in Him. God is Love! 1 Cor. 13:4 - Love keeps NO record of wrongs! God keeps no record of wrongs, therefore He is above the need to forgive. Praise Him in his goodness
